This booking offers exclusive use of the cottage for up to six guests across three ensuite bedrooms, making it an ideal choice for friends travelling together, multi-generational families, or families with young children who value space, privacy, and a relaxed, well-paced experience. Why June Is Such a Special Time to Visit England June is one of the most rewarding months to experience England, and particularly the Dorset countryside. Gardens are at their very best, with roses, perennials, and cottage garden flowers in full bloom, hedgerows alive with colour, and the landscape looking lush and vibrant after the spring rains. Daytime temperatures in June are typically comfortable — often around 75°F — making it ideal for exploring without the heat of high summer. At Well Cottage, June is a favourite time of year. It’s perfect for spending time in the garden, enjoying the surrounding countryside, and making the most of outdoor meals and peaceful moments that are so much a part of an English summer. This option involves a collaborative planning process to ensure the week reflects exactly how you’d like to experience England, with flexibility built in for families, mixed-age groups, and different energy levels. Because the itinerary planning is already complete, this option comes at a slightly lower cost than a tailor-made experience, while still offering the same level of hosting, care, and immersion. It’s an excellent choice for guests — including families — who appreciate clarity, ease, and exceptional value. This charming centrepiece stands proudly in front of our home and is a guest favourite for photos. Seasonal Blooms and Country Colour Every season brings a new palette of beauty to the garden. In spring, you’ll see delicate snowdrops, bluebells, and daffodils bursting into life. Summer brings a riot of colour from roses, lavender, and climbing honeysuckle, while autumn glows with rich foliage. Even in winter, the garden has a serene charm with frosty lawns and twinkling lights. From Garden to Table Our gardens aren’t just for strolling - they’re also for tasting! We grow a variety of herbs, fruits, and vegetables right here, which Chef Laura incorporates into her gourmet breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. What isn’t homegrown is carefully sourced from nearby Dorset producers, making sure every meal you enjoy is as fresh and local as possible. Spaces to Relax Scattered throughout the garden are lots of spots to sit and take it all in.
