Bedroom Two (The Beehive)
This charming bedroom, fondly called The Beehive for its distinctive chimney breast, features a U.S. queen-size bed and double-aspect windows. One window looks out over the pretty rear garden court yard, while the other frames far reaching views across vast countryside beyond the quiet lane where the cottage is situated, where strolling horses and their riders are often witnessed passing by on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
With lower ceilings, exposed beams, and slightly uneven floors, this is the oldest bedroom in the cottage, full of character and history. Despite its age, it boasts a brand-new modern en-suite shower room for comfort and convenience.
The highlight of the room is the mid-18th-century chimney breast, a striking feature that captures the charm and character of the cottage — you’ll find yourself admiring it throughout your stay. Nestled in a peaceful rural location, the room offers a quiet retreat surrounded by nature.
