At English Cottage Vacation, we deeply understand our responsibility to protect and nurture the environment. Committed to sustainable tourism, we adopt practices that minimise our environmental impact while providing a luxurious experience to our guests. Our meals are sourced locally, reducing food miles and supporting our community. We use energy-efficient appliances, meticulously recycle waste, opt for eco-friendly toiletries, only wash towels weekly or on request to save on energy, supply paper and silicon straws and actively encourage water conservation. We provide filtered water in all our guest rooms in refillable, non-plastic containers.
Well Cottage indeed has its very own well, providing all the water we need to sustain our organically-maintained garden and vegetable plots. We use our homegrown vegetables and herbs in all of our gourmet dishes. Coffee is made from fresh grounds rather than artificial pods, then we fertilise our garden with the used grounds. We continually seek new ways to enhance our green efforts, preserving the beauty of Dorset for future generations. For us, luxury does not mean compromising sustainability; instead, it strengthens our commitment to a more responsible way of living and travelling.
