Laura and Nathan provided a most intimate, warm and wonderful escape vacation. I was enchanted with everything. Well Cottage is so quintessentially “British” cottage tucked away down a windy wee road. I loved walking the gardens and just looking out upon the vista. I soooo appreciated all the kind extras which ranged from lovely to extraordinary. Thank you so much for my 70th birthday early celebration. It was such a wonderful surprise. Just perfect!! The other lovely amenities were the wonderful gift basket – I use my English Cottage Vacation coffee mug, each morning now with my coffee, easily remembering my early morning chats with Nathan, while the rest of the house still slept. The room was very well appointed with extra water, chocolates on the bed at night, a warm and cozy blanket to snuggle in while watching the cows in the field. I also appreciated the bathroom amenities and the wee bathroom caddy which held my personal daily items. I also thank you for the bath mat allowing me to shower without worrying about slipping. Now your food service is beyond all the adjectives available to describe food||| The breakfasts were soooo amazing from plain jane porridge which was anything but plain jane, the cheese selections were delectable and who knew eggs could be served in sooooo many different ways??? The picnic lunches were beyond the ordinary and so tasty. I soooo appreciated Laura adapting my lunches down to a smaller version — this way I was still able to truly enjoy them without worrying about waste. And I know I will need a Thesaurus beside me to truly exclaim the about the perfection of a the truly wonderful dinners — suffice it to say perfection exists in Laura’s kitchen!!! The Canapes and Cocktails were probably one of my favourite treats. I soooo enjoyed the different cocktails and canapes. I will have to wait for a trip to a ‘big city’ liquor store to be able to find bottles of Pimm’s and Aperol delights. Too exotic for my small prairie town liquor stores, sigh. The daily excursions were delightful. Nathan is an excellent tour guide. He has an extensive knowledge of the different locations and shared it well with us. I am glad the tours were at a pleasant pace – never feeling rushed or hurried along. The most physically challenging and exciting tour for myself was to the Dorset seaside. I had a personal moment of special achievement when I was able to complete the climb to the view point along the very narrow cliff pathway!! At the same time it was most reassuring to know that Nathan “had my back” literally every step of the way. Most kind!!!! The other tours from Bath to Stonehenge were excellent and most rewarding too. All in all it was probably one of the best trips of my life. I thank you both for the whole experience. Hugs and love Susan
